Embracing boredom...

Well, here's what I've been thinking about and teaching lately. Boredom. Is there anything more glorious than boredom? If you are bored then you are not fearing for your life in a war-torn country, dealing with the grief of losing a loved-one, or desperately trying to find a way to survive without money or food. Boredom. It's a good thing.

So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving I proudly proclaim how THANKFUL I am to be a wee bit bored these days. Life is GOOD!

What are you thankful for today?

Love and hugs,

Jan

I am thankful for my job and for my husband's job! Oh, and a vacation this week from that job.

Well I read that "May you live in interesting times" is a Confucian curse, so on that basis being a little bored can't be a bad thing.

I am very thankful for good health, not being in a part of the UK that's flooded out, not having any friend or member of the family in Afghanistan, and my wonderful husband and children. Oh and loads more .... but I might save those for a future post .......

A Very Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Boredom can be a good thing. Read a good book. Watch a sappy movie. Take a long walk. Clean house.. oh wait, that's my problem, not yours.

Hope you are doing good. Busy here! I'd like just a wee bit of boredome.

I like. I'm going to try to be thankful for my current finals-related non-boredom, since it's evidence of the blessing of attending a university. And by the end of the month I will be grateful for the boredom from winter vacation! :)
